Virginia looked out of her window. The rain crashed down upon her neighbor’s roof. The weather reporter predicted this afternoon storm. Virginia believed that a rough storm could wash away any wrongdoings. She planned to stand in the rain for awhile to cleanse herself of her latest misdeed. She needed to go outside before the strong winds began. She put on her rain boots. She thought she was running outside into the rain. Not a drop of rain touched her, though it was raining on her neighbor’s property. Virginia held out her hands. “I’m so sorry. I turned on red.”
