All of the Gonzales family, in seperate rooms, dropped down to the floor.
“Four o’clock. The nights are getting shorter.” Rosa crawled towards her bedroom.
“It’s hotter and more unpredictable,” Evan shouted. “We wait to go outside at least two hours after dark.”
Jamie pulled a blanket over her head. “I’m afraid of being caught by the sun like Mario.”
“Caught? He was burned by it, then melted.” Jessie laughed. There was a drawing of the sun next to her pillow. “Mario never got the duck tape.”
