“A golden day,” Sally stated to Matthias, the cafe owner.
“Storms brewing,” he returned.
Sally laughed internally about his adherence to pessimism. “Time to enjoy the beach.”
She sat alone on a blanket adoring the sand and calm waves. In the distance, she spotted a body in the water. The arms moved frantically. “Help, help me,” a female called out.
Sally ran into the cafe to locate Matthias but couldn’t find him.
The body reached the shore. Sally stooped down beside the woman and surprisingly stared into her own face.
“You didn’t help me.”
“I thought I needed someone else.”
