Laura waited in the long line. She registered for the research study just two days prior. Each participant would be given the same test inside of conference room B. There would be a raffle to see who would win the five hundred dollars. After two hours and no admittance into conference room B, people retreated from the line. Every fifteen minutes a researcher would appear to reassure the crowd. Laura waited for four hours. She was the only remaining potential participant.
“What is going on? She asked the researcher.
“Congratulations, you won the five hundred dollars. We were testing patience.”
