The parrot thought it had found an accomplice. Peter would not return for hours.
“Hey, you! Help me out of this cage.”
The pineapple did not respond.
“Friend, I would like to sit on the table. Peck at the food here and there,” the parrot disclosed.
The pineapple did not respond or move.
The disappointed parrot fiddled with the cage door until it opened. It flew around the room. “No help at all.”
The parrot landed next to the pineapple. “I forgive you.”
The pineapple remained silent. Peter was fast approaching.
“One last thing,” whispered the parrot. “Cancel friend request.”
